The browns you used are so rich! There's something about the shapes that makes me think of ships in a harbor...I'm sure that's not what you intended, but I just picked up on that image. I love the colors:>
My first impression was that of wet streets under a high rise building and a telephone pole. But after reading teri c's comment, I see a tree, too, ha.
Thanks, for everyone's lovely comments. I'm afraid my personal vision is so limited, my inspiration was color, movement and balance. I love hearing every's else's vision.
It's fun reading other peoples comments because for me this represents windows and doors. The brown is a rich color and the light ot white openings say go beyond. there is light. wonderful piece PS thanks for the book recommendation. I will have to check it out
my first thought was of coffee -- I suppose because of the lovely deep brown hues (plus I am having a big craving for it at the moment!). But once I read Carla's comment about ships in the harbor, I thought right on! Thanks for participating at Inspire Me Thursday!

Funny how we all see different things. I see a tree trunk poking out of the ice and the windows twinkling in the background.
Love this.
very nice. i really like the balance of it.

Ooooh! I like it! I love the richness of the earthy tones, and it's a great composition too.
